Sale Report:
Top price of the day went to lot number 3, a 2017 born cow BLACKMIXEN XOSITA and her April 2022 bull calf exhibited by Messrs RD & JM Ransome which sold for 1,800gns to Pencoed Farm, Bridgend.
Champion Female, DYFNANT FANCY bred and exhibited by DG & B Thomas sold for 1,500gns to the pre-sale show judge Ms Emma Edwards purchased on behalf of the National History Museum, St. Fagan.
Lot number 8, BLACKMIXEN ALWENA an in-calf heifer from Messrs RD & JM Ransome sold for 1,500gns to Pencoed Farm, Bridgend.
GWRANGON-FAWR EIRLYS 13TH (lot 19) from A Morgan Farms, Aberdare sold for 1,300gns to O Ford which also purchased GWRANGON-FAWR HAF 2nd (lot 18) for 1,250gns while another in-calf heifer from A Morgan Farms, GWRANGON-FAWR GWENO 4th sold for 1,200gns to R.D Groucott.
Top price in the Maiden Heifers was achieved by the Champion Maiden Heifer a May 2021 born heifer BLACKMIXEN BETSY bred and exhibited by Messrs. RD & JM Ransome sold for 1,200gns to JCO Powell, Llanigon.
Messrs. D.M Davies & Son sold CATHEDINE ALEXANDRA (lot 28) for 970gns while lot 27, CATHEDINE ASTER sold for 900gns while CATHEDINE ASTRID sold for 700gns.
We must take this opportunity to thank the pre-sale show judge Ms. Emma Edwards for her work and also to Mr. Lyndon Trumper and all the staff at Monmouthshire Livestock Centre for their work today and more important the members for entering and bringing their animals forward for sale.
